This was a projct in which I was given the brief of creating a price of jelwer which would be capable of being printed with a resin SLA printer.
I found this to be a very interesting and fulfilling project to carry out. Not only was the process of making jewelry far outside my normal wheelhouse, i also loved working with fascinating new technologies like SLA printing and experimenting with how to change my process to compensate.
As you can see from the images here, I landed on the idea to make an ear cuff that evokes an elven style.
I was particularly influenced by the Art Nouveau period as well as its inexorable Arts and Arafts predecessor. i loved the focus on natural and ethereal imagery and attempted to bring that into this design.
